Dr Roop Mann - Practice Principal
Dr Roop Mann qualified from Manchester University in 1995. She has more than 12 years experience within private dentistry. Before taking over the Crofts Dental Practice in 2006, Roop worked in the West End of London for six years. She is committed to keeping up to date with the latest advances and techniques so that the Crofts Dental Practice is able to offer all of its patients, the very best standards of service and care. Roop’s philosophy is to provide high-quality dental care within a relaxed and professional environment. The extensive and lengthy refurbishment is reflective of her commitment to provide the very highest quality of care. Roop enjoys restorative and cosmetic as well as working with all her elderly patients. She has a particular interest in preventing clenching and grinding by the use of splints as well as the use of acupuncture within dentistry. She enjoys salsa dancing, yoga and cooking.
Dr Andrea Wildsmith - Dental Surgeon
Andrea is originally from Newcastle and qualified from Newcastle University in 2002. She remained there following completion of vocational training and worked as an associate in Newcastle and Northumberland practising sedation for nervous patients. She relocated to Bishops Stortford in 2005 where she now lives with her partner and young daughter. She worked in Brentwood before joining The Crofts in January 2008 where she continues to practice using her philosophy of a gentle and caring approach. Andrea is particularly interested in restorative dentistry. In her spare time, she is kept busy by her daughter and their ongoing renovation of their house.
Dr Camilla Anderson - Dental Surgeon
Camilla gradulated form the University of Oslo, Norway in 2003. During her training, she also completed an exchange program at Trinity University, Dublin (which explains her Irish accent). Camilla moved to the UK a few months after graduating and has pursued her interest in cosmetic dentistry since, She has completed numerous courses in cosmetic dentistry including a one year course run by the immediate past president of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Camilla joined the Crofts in 2008 where she has already begun to demonstrate her experience in Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr Buks De La Rey - Oral Surgeon
Buks is a Maxillo Facial and Oral Surgeon and originally qualified in South Africa. He has been in private practice for over 30 years, during which time he also held various hospital appointments as a senior consultant and was involved in pre and post graduate training. He is a memeber of the South African Society of Maxillo Facial and Oral Surgeons, fellow of the International Society of Maxillo Facial and Oral Surgeons and a registered specialist Oral Surgeon with the British Dental Council. He has vast experience in traumatology, minor oral surgery and implant placement. Buks has been with the Crofts since 2007 and patients have cotinued to benefit for his gentle approach.
Lena Haslam - Hygienist
Lena is originally from Chelmsford and moved to the East End of London to train as a dental surgery assistant at The Royal London Hospital in 1984. She transferred to The Eastman Dental Hospital in 1990 to complete the Dental Hygienist course and has worked as a full time hygienist ever since. Now living in Epping with her husband and young daughter, she started working at the Crofts Dental Surgery in October 2007 and has enjoyed being part of a major refurbishment and the provision of a totally new service for all our patients. She looks forward to helping all new comers in the future with all aspects of their oral health.
Natasha Odendaal - Practice Receptionist
Natasha is originally from South Africa and has been working and studying in the UK for the past 5 years. Natasha has been with the Crofts since April 2008 and has been using her business administration qualification combined with her many years of customer care experience with Morgan Stanley to make all our patients feel welcome and well looked after. As well as being the practice co-ordinator, Natasha is currently training to be a GDC registered nurse and is due to qualify in November 2008. In her spare time, she loves travelling to exotic cities and spending time with friends.
